The Tale of The Missing Quill

I watch her closely . . .She must be about thirty-five, I suppose.  Her eyes are the most striking feature of her thin and narrow face.  What is that saying?  The eyes are the windows of the soul?  Her eyes reveal a soul that is both alive and on fire.  As I look at her, I can't imagine that she could be anything but outgoing, vibrant, and loving.

Nothing, of course, is farther from the truth.
